STEM CELL COLLECTION PROCESS

PET STEM CELL COLLECTION PROCESS

We made Gallant a simple process. If you’re familiar with human cord blood banking services, it works much like that.

Your client, the pet parent, signs up for Gallant on our website. Once we receive the order, we send our tissue collection kit directly to your clinic While you perform the spay or neuter, you insert the dog’s tissue into our temperature-controlled preservation kit Within 24 hours, a Gallant courier will come by and collect the kit and ship it to our lab in La Jolla, California Our scientists will process the tissue, and then cryogenically preserve stem cells for future regenerative treatments

We typically prefer orders to be completed at least 72 hours before the spay or neutering procedure so we can be sure to get the collection kit to you in time. However, if you’d like to offer same-day services, your Gallant contact can work with you to help.

WHAT'S IN THE KIT?

Your collection kit contains everything you need. Each kit contains:

  • Instructions
  • NanoCool top
  • Warm temperature mark
  • Cool temperature mark
  • 2 saline solution

  • Resealable bags
  • 2 specimen containers
  • Plastic specimen container holder
  • Shipping box seal
  • Shipping box

RETRIEVING STEM CELLS FOR TREATMENT

If and when the day arrives that a veterinarian needs access to the pet’s stem cells, we’ll send the administering veterinarian an online form to gather the necessary information.

Once a Gallant Vet reviews the treatment plan, the team will retrieve the stored stem cells, thaw them out, and prepare the shipment to arrive at your clinic within a few days.
Treatments will cost about $350 per dose, but we allow veterinarians to set their own procedure costs since the procedures may vary.
